Brothers,
Been spending some time reflecting on Romans 12: 14-16:
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.
My failure is great in this and I'd like to ask you guys to pray two things for me (and for everyone, I suppose):
1.) That I would approach God openly with myself in view of my shortcomings and sin, asking Him to move in these ways in my heart.
2.) To give me a heart of service: for creative ways to care for my family, friends, relationships, my students, my studies...just that each would be fully submitted to the Lord.
Also, if you could each take five minutes in prayer for Lauren's mom this week: she is still recovering from Lyme disease and is really vulnerable physically and spiritually right now. Pray for repentance and rest in her life!
Love you guys a lot--
be of great courage
in strength and honor,
weakness and shame,
actions and truth!
-Bettwy
